BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – UPDATE: The Birmingham Recycling and Recovery plant will no longer be opening on Monday as previously planned.
“We had a corporate manager arrive Friday afternoon. After further reflection, investigation, and citing safety concerns, we are not yet going to start accepting residential recycling again.”
The plant says that they plan to have more information sometime next week about when they will reopen.
