BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District was recognized on a regional scale this week.
Each year, the Southeastern Regional Council of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials chooses one housing authority in the region to receive the Advocacy Award.
The award goes to the housing authority that has made advocacy efforts via congressional interaction with impact at the local, state, or national level.
