City Councilor Darrell O’Quinn is beginning an internship program. Working with a City Councilor is one of the best ways to participate in local government and add your voice to the symphony of service, and we want to provide that experience to our students.

This internship program is designed primarily for undergraduate and undergraduate college students seeking to serve the Birmingham community and gain hands-on experience in local government and the public policymaking process.

Applicants should be prepared to make a commitment for four months (one semester). This is part-time work with flexible hours and the capacity to work remotely.
