BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Regions Bank announced Monday a $75,000 grant from the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. (BCRI)

It’s been closed to visitors since the second week of March due to the COVID-19 pandemic..

BCRI leaders are working to raise $750,000 between now and the end of 2020 to keep education, research and other operations moving forward.

The Birmingham City Council voted in July to give $250,000 to the BCRI.
