After a prolonged discussion regarding the organizational structure of the Public Athletics and Cultural Events Board (PACE), the Birmingham City Council voted to approve five new appointees to the board, replacing the previous members whose terms have expired.

The council approved the appointments of the following board members: (Mayor’s three appointments) Cora Coley, James Sullivan, and Ronnie Rice, (Council’s two appointments) Justina Howard and Samuel Rumore.

First created in 2011, PACE is a five-member board that oversaw the construction and planning of Regions Field.
