BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBMA) The Birmingham City Council voted to approve new downtown parking meters at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.

The city will enter a three year contract with ParkMobile LLC. According to the company’s website, it allows users to pay for parking through a smartphone app using credit or debit-cards.
